MLK Mitzvah Day Draws 800 Volunteers!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1522260931123{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]On MLK Day, Monday, January 15, more than 800 Jewish Atlantans volunteered at locations all over Atlanta. The event, organized by In the City Camp, provided dozens of opportunities for all ages.

In just one day, 800 Jewish Atlantans:
• Sorted 11,646 lbs. of food to make 8,026 meals for the homeless
• Donated 353 books to Sandy Springs schools
• Created 258 paper flowers for Holocaust survivors
• Packed 200 toiletry bags with necessities for the homeless
