COVID-19 Health & Safety Precautions FAQs

Physical and emotional safety is our number one priority at In the City Camps. Therefore, for Summer 2022, all age-eligible summer campers, staff and invited guests must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the American Academy of Pediatrics. This includes boosters as indicated.

Knowing that our entire community will be vaccinated against COVID-19 will allow us to keep everyone safe.

The decision-making process regarding COVID-19 will remain fluid, and our goal will be a return to normalcy as much as possible. We will be sending more details throughout the year as we gear up for a safe, fun, and amazing 2022. Please know that we will adapt these guidelines as we approach summer based on the most up-to-date science and will provide another update by April 1, 2022.

WILL MASK BE REQUIRED?

Stay tuned for more up to date information regarding masking for Summer 2022 based on CDC recommendations in the Spring of 2022.

What if someone tests positive for COVID-19 during camp?

If your camper tests positive for COVID-19, please email campoffice@inthecitycamps.org as soon as possible. Our team will then use contact tracing to determine which individuals were potentially exposed so that they can be advised to quarantine and test per current CDC guidelines as quickly as possible. In the event that a counselor or other staff member tests positive, In the City Camps will  employ our protocols to communicate with affected families and limit exposure.

What is the plan for cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day?

Each location has two full-time employees to clean and sanitize high-traffic areas  and high touchpoints like bathrooms, common spaces, and doorknobs throughout the day.

Do you have a kid who wants to join us?

Let’s keep in contact!
